Lisette Lawrie – Production Designer, Director of Photography

After Henry finishes dreaming up his soapy Lush Town ideas, Lisette bursts the bubble by having to find practical solutions to all the creative problems that inevitably arise.

From hauling in a grand piano and fitting huge velvet drapes, to the small lush bath-melts on the edge of the cocktail glasses, she has to source all the props and calculate how to dress them in - usually within a very small window of time! As if that wasn’t enough, Lisette also acted as Director of Photography (DOP) – allowing her to shoot her opulent sets in the best way possible. Lisette says that Episode Two of Lush Town has been one of the largest productions that she has been soley responsible in an Art Department sense - and once she’s gotten out her paintbrushes and razzle dazzled out a ‘Lush Town’ poster for the shops, she’s going to sleep for a wee while…

When she’s not massaging soap into ice cream-styled centrepieces, Lisette works on a range of productions, from adverts to feature films; generally in the capacity of a Set Dressing Assistant. She hopes to get into the set-decoration department on some ‘sexy big-budget features’ by the end of the year.
